Infusing overnight oats with vanilla ribose tea is a simple way to add a depth of flavor to make even the busiest morning seem a bit more special.
While I’ll always love coffee, vanilla ribose tea has a special place in my heart as the warm notes of vanilla instantly relax and comfort me. Feeling stressed or unable to sleep? I recommend trying a glass of warm milk infused with decaf vanilla ribose tea.
After making my berry chia seed jam last week, I knew I wanted to find just the right overnight oats recipe to add a dollop to. Placing the jam with these vanilla ribose overnight oats was just the right decision, as the sweetness of the oats with the slight tartness of the jam makes for a bed and breakfast-worthy start to the day. You know, the kind where someone else cooks for you, there’s beautiful flowers all around, and you’re not in any rush. Except in reality you are likely the one making these (although making them the night before), eating them in your car, office, or kitchen, and probably in some sort of rush. But the flavors will trick you for just a bit that life is more relaxing than it may seem.
A short and simple post for this lovely Friday morning. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
So here’s a toast to giving your mouth a taste of relaxation.
Vanilla Ribose Overnight Oats with Berry Chia Seed JamPrint Recipe
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 vanilla ribose tea bags
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 heaping tablespoons of berry chia seed jam (recipe link in post)
Place almond milk in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low. Heat until nearly simmering then remove from heat. Place two tea bags in the milk and steep for 6 minutes.
Meanwhile, place ½ cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and ¼ cup of Greek yogurt into each mason jar. Add ½ cup of vanilla ribose-infused almond milk into each jar then stir well to combine. Top each jar of oats with a heaping tablespoon of berry chia seed jam. Store in fridge overnight then dig in at breakfast!
