I’m married! Unfortunately I wrote this post prior to the wedding as Bry and I headed off on our honeymoon to Italy the next day, so I don’t have any wedding pictures or updates for you. BUT as with the past two weeks, I have some Italian-inspired recipes from Recipe Redux members to get your through the weekend 🙂
For the adventurous, this Fresh Pasta with Ricotta, Lemon, Asparagus, and Pea Pesto from Healthy Bites sounds like it will be well-worth the effort of making your own pasta.
Who says Lasagna can’t be healthy? This Zucchini Noodle Lasagna from Hungry Hobby is jam-packed with vegetables and lean protein.
This Cold Tortellini Pesto Pasta Salad from Kathryn’s Kitchen looks like perfect picnic food for your Saturday!
Impress your guests with this homemade Butternut Squash Gnocchi from Figs in my Belly (and no, you don’t have to wait until fall to enjoy butternut squash ;p )
Avoid heating up your kitchen with this Slow Cooker Spicy Italian Beef from Rhubarb and Honey (plus she gives you FIVE ways to enjoy it!).
Despite living in the Boston/Cambridge area for 7 years now, I had yet to visit Cafe Luna for brunch until two Sundays ago. And you can bet I wont let another 7 go by until I visit again, in fact I’ll probably be back in a month or two (once our bank account and stomachs recover from our trip to Italy).
The countdown continues! Only 2 days until the big day, then off to Italy for our honeymoon. But, before we get to all that, while you’re reading this I’ll be off all day for my bachelorette. . .so curious to see what my girls have planned! Here’s your recipe inspiration for the weekend featuring Recipe Redux members, enjoy!
So here’s a toast to being Kelli McGrane by my next post!
The Foodie Physician must be my foodie soul mate, as I can’t think of anything better than these Grilled Stuffed Avocados and Watermelon Mojitos.
These Chocolate Chia Espresso Cookies from RDelicious Kitchen looks so perfectly gooey.
Heading to the great outdoors this weekend? Check out these tips from The Domestic Dietitian for healthier camping meals.
I’ve yet to try something from Meal Makeover Moms that I haven’t liked, and this Spiralized Summer Squash and Pistachio Salad looks like another hit!
Throwing a party this weekend? Impress your guests with this Peach and Brie Galette from Sincerely Nourished.
Featured image: Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl from Legal Seafoods. Overall delicious, just a tad too much Sriracha sauce (yes, there is such a thing as too much Sriracha 😉 ).
Part of me hates writing this post as it is already difficult to get a table at Oleana and I selfishly don’t want more people to discover just how wonderful the food is. But I just can’t contain my excitement and love for this place.
Taking a break today from healthy recipes – after all, life is all about balance, right? Wacky Cake is a Swensen family birthday cake tradition, and a very gooey chocolatey tradition at that!
